Learning How To Write Stand Up Comedy Routines
So you think you are funny, but you want to be funnier eh? Well although it has to be said that there will always be a certain amount of natural talent involved in any kind of creative activity like Writing Comedy, there are things that you can do to help yourself succeed in making peoplle laugh and writing the best possible stand up comedy routines that you are capable of coming up with. To unleash your inner talent as it were.
Personally I think that by far the overriding factor in this is passion - ou have to live and breath comedy to be great at it. The people who succeed are generally the kind of people for whom making people laugh is all they've ever cared about. Probably the class clown at school, they then continued to go through life always looking for the funny side of thing. It is this permanent search for funny lines and funny scenarios that makes for success. But even if you weren't the class clown and this doesn't sound completely like you - it is something that can be cultivated and nurtured within yourself.
Finding your comedy voice will often take lots of experimentation: this is where having patient friends who are willing to listen to a seemingly endless stream of bad jokes will come in handy. On a similar note when you sit down to write a specific routine many people find that it makes it much easier if they have someone there to sound things off. If you can find another comedian who is willing to be your writing partner than I would say jump at the chance - you don't need to actually write stuff for each other, just be there to laugh and say "that's funny", or sneer and say "you're an idiot".
There are also systems out there that claim to be able to help anyone write and perform stand up to a high standard. My personal opinion is that these systems can be a massive help when you are stuck for new material or you feel like you need to reinvigorate your routine with a fresh approach, but they shouldn't be relied on too much if you want to stand out from the pack and really make it. Follow the link in the resource box for more info on these systems.
And at the end of the day, when all is said and done, and all fo those other cheesy meaningless lines, it is only comedy - so don't take it too seriously or you'll shoot yourself in the foot.

Joint Venture Writing Success
I like to imagine the levels of profit possible when doing article what if analyses. What if I sold ten articles this month? What if I get $1.00 per word for a 2000 word feature? How exciting.
The Article Quest
The challenging part comes down to marketing your articles. Article marketing success comes when a marketing plan is consistently implemented. The good news is that you can thin slice your freelance workload. You can leverage marketing efforts by forming joint venture partnerships with likeminded businesses or individuals.
Two heads can be profitable. Writing collaborations bring together a larger pool of knowledge and ideas. Often each collaborator has different ideas that can be merged together to create dynamic information products and skyrocket profits.
Four Joint Venture tactics
Using Expert Interviews: Instead of using lots of time to create articles you can interview experts. Once you complete the interviews format them, sell them and if you have an agreement split the profits with the interview subject.
Using Website Links and Banners: Place a link or banner to your articles sales location (Website or Blog) on your Joint Venture partner's website. This will enable you to get click throughs from interested parties who visit your partner's website with little or no effort on your part. Pay your partner a portion of each article profit that comes through their website.
Using Borrowed Email Lists: Set up an arrangement to use your joint venture partner's email or postal mail list. Follow your plan to contact each client on the list. Pay your joint venture partner a percentage based on each article you sell to people on the list.
Using Writing Collaborations: Use your writing expertise to extend and improve what you compose. Develop the habit of Writing Reports in addition to writing article features and columns. Successful reports can range from 1 to 30 pages, or you can treat a series of articles as one report. A feature article can be turned into a report by simply extending each subtopic within the article. Co- write these reports with joint venture partners, sell them and divide the earnings.
The First Step
To get started always have an idea of what subject and a possible angle you want to write about. Next, search Goggle for companies that cater to your audience. Favorable choices to explore will be companies whose products and services will work better if they add your articles, and companies that do not have a directly competing product, or they want to introduce a new product. Begin a dialogue with the appropriate company representative and express your desire to negotiate joint venture agreements with them. Once you find these companies send a letter to their CEO or marketing department. Express your desire to form a join venture relationship, and consider contracting to benefit you both.
A joint venture is a great way to minimize your workload, and profit from the talents of other professionals and individuals.
